Our Bull Battery
Our current bull battery consists of three herd sires, PCR Polled Enterprise T-20, PCR Avalanche 95/5 and PCR Tsunami 70/6. We have calves on the ground from all of these bulls and both T-20 and Avalanche have proven to be safe to breed to first calf heifers.
T-20 has proven to produce high quality calves with good length and smoothness. He would improve and moderate the more raw-bone and larger frame cows. We have seen some fantastic high quality show calves.
Avalanche is a 16 out of 22 star (allele) bull with above average EPDs (10 TMAT and 3.46 WPDA). He is an Elite Tender bull with 6 of 6 alleles on three genes for Tenderness. He is a heavy muscle bull and consistently passes this muscling to his offspring. He is a very fertile bull and we froze semen on him at 13 months of age.
Tsunami can incorporate both performance and DNA into his offspring. He is a high performance with 3.41 WPDA and a very high 18 TMAT. He has 5 of 6 alleles on his Tenderness genes. He has 15 of 22 total stars . His first calves have been born in the past month and it appears they will be extremely clean, dark red and thick calves with very good EPDs and above average GeneStar.
